Singapore phone number format
How do you format a Singapore phone number?
Write a Singapore phone number with the country code +65. A mobile looks like 8123 4567 inside Singapore and +65 8123 4567 from abroad. Mobiles have 8 digits after the country code, and the E.164 form is +6581234567. A format check confirms the digits fit the numbering plan, not that the number is in service.
Free, runs in your browser; nothing is sent. The sample is a sample, not a real line.
Paste your Singapore numbers (a mixed list is fine). They are counted here at once; the free checker then gives every number its E.164 form, country and line type, with a file to download.

Example Singapore phone numbers
These are the example numbers from Google’s libphonenumber data, the same numbering-plan data our validator uses, written three ways.
| Format | Mobile | Landline |
|---|---|---|
| National (inside Singapore) | 8123 4567 | 6123 4567 |
| International | +65 8123 4567 | +65 6123 4567 |
| E.164 | +6581234567 | +6561234567 |
How to write a Singapore number in E.164
- Remove spaces, dashes, dots and brackets so only digits are left.
- Singapore has no trunk prefix, so keep every digit of the national number.
- Put +65 in front. The result has 8 digits after the country code for a mobile.
So 8123 4567 becomes +6581234567. E.164 is the format SMS gateways, dialers and most CRMs store; see the E.164 format explained for why.
Mobile or landline?
Singapore allocates separate number ranges to mobiles and landlines, so a numbering-plan check reads the line type straight from the digits, for free. That type describes the range the number came from. It doesn’t prove the number is connected today.
Mobile, landline and special number ranges in Singapore
A Singapore mobile number starts with 801–809, 81–89, 90–98 after +65. Every valid number of each type below starts with one of the digit groups shown. A number that starts the right way can still be unassigned: the groups say what a range is for, not that a number is connected.
| Type | Starts with, after +65 | Digits | Example |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mobile | 801–809, 81–89, 90–98 | 8 | +65 8123 4567 |
| Landline (fixed line) | 60–65, 660, 661, 6620–6622, 6624–6629, 663–665, 667–669, 67, 68, 690–693, 695–699 | 8 | +65 6123 4567 |
| Toll-free | 1800, 800 | 10 or 11 | +65 1800 123 4567 |

Common questions
- What is the country code for Singapore?
- The country calling code for Singapore is +65. When you call Singapore from abroad, dial your international prefix (or +) followed by 65 and the number.
- How many digits is a Singapore phone number?
- A Singapore mobile number has 8 digits after the country code +65, the same as a landline.
- How do I write a Singapore number in international format?
- Start with +65, then add the rest of the number. The mobile number 8123 4567 becomes +65 8123 4567, or +6581234567 in E.164, the form most CRMs and SMS tools expect.
- Can you tell if a Singapore number is a mobile?
- Usually, yes. Singapore numbers come from ranges allocated separately to mobiles and landlines, so a numbering-plan check reads the line type from the digits. It tells you what the range is for, not whether the number is in service.
- Does a valid format mean a Singapore number is in service?
- No. A valid format means the digits fit a range Singapore's numbering plan allocates. It cannot tell whether the number is connected today or who carries it, because numbers are reassigned and ported. A live carrier lookup reports the current carrier and line type, but even that does not prove someone answers.
- Can I check a list of Singapore numbers for free?
- Yes. Paste them in the list tab above or upload a CSV to the bulk phone number validator: E.164, country, format status and numbering-plan line type are free for every row, with no account. Live carrier and line-type lookups come with Pro + Phone at $49.99/mo (5,000 a month).
