ZeroBounce Alternative (2026): No $99 Minimum, 100 Free Checks

ZeroBounce costs $99 a month for 10,000 credits, or pay as you go from $19.50 per 1,000 on a 2,000 pack, falling to $2.70 at 10,000,000, metered as credits; zerobounce one subscription from 10,000 a month. SimpleVerifier starts at $9 a month for 2,500 emails a month, and Pro is $39 a month with email verification that is never cut off (the first 100,000 a month run at full speed), plus the email finder and enrichment. The first 100 checks are free with a Google sign-in. Both run real SMTP mailbox checks. Keep ZeroBounce if you need their wider deliverability suite — inbox placement testing, blacklist monitoring and email server testing alongside verification.

Quick answer

What is a cheaper ZeroBounce alternative?

SimpleVerifier is a flat monthly alternative to ZeroBounce's metered pricing, with a real SMTP mailbox check on every address. Monthly plans: $9 for 2,500 emails, or Pro at $39 with 100,000 a month at full speed, never cut off. ZeroBounce's prices are on this page, checked October 30, 2026. The first 100 checks are free.

What it is
Email verification with a real SMTP mailbox check: each address comes back valid, risky or invalid with a reason. Includes an email finder on Pro and up.
Price per check
Starter $9/mo for 2,500 ($3.60 per 1,000); Pro $39/mo, 100,000 a month at full speed ($0.39 per 1,000 when used), then slower, never cut off. Business $99/mo with 300,000 at full speed; Agency $249/mo with 750,000 at full speed.
One-time packs
10,000 for $15 ($1.50 per 1,000); 25,000 for $29 ($1.16 per 1,000); 50,000 for $49 ($0.98 per 1,000); 100,000 for $79 ($0.79 per 1,000); 250,000 for $169 ($0.68 per 1,000). Credits never expire, run at standard speed, CSV verification only (no API or finder).
Free checks
First 100 email checks free with a Google sign-in, no card, once per account. Single checks on the free email checker need no account.
Billing
Monthly subscription, cancel anytime (yearly billing optional). One-time packs are listed above. Starter allowances reset monthly and do not roll over.
Speed today
One sending IP today, shared by every customer: about 13,000 mailbox checks a day in the standard lane. Bad syntax, dead domains and disposable addresses return at once; a list of 100,000 takes days, not hours, and each job shows its estimated finish time.
Catch-all handling
Catch-all (accept-all) addresses stay risky, never valid, and are graded higher, medium or lower likelihood with the reasons. Anything a mail server does not confirm is risky.
API and MCP
REST API on Pro, Business and Agency (Pro includes 10,000 calls a month, then $1.50 per 1,000). Remote MCP server with 6 tools for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and VS Code. No API on Starter.
Integrations
Connects to Instantly, Smartlead, HubSpot and Mailchimp by API key: verifies a campaign or list and tags each contact with its result. CSV in and out for any other tool.
Phone
Free phone format checks (country, type range). Live carrier and line-type lookups come with Pro + Phone at $49.99/mo (5,000 a month). It never says a number is in service.
What it does not do
No sending, warmup or inbox placement tests. No published accuracy benchmark against other verifiers. Catch-all domains, Yahoo and AOL cannot be confirmed, and Outlook.com and Hotmail mailboxes are not probed while Microsoft refuses checks from our server's network: all of these come back risky, never valid.

What it actually costs, by list size

One pass over a list, on ZeroBounce’s cheapest available route versus one month of the smallest SimpleVerifier plan that covers it. Where ZeroBouncesells both a subscription and pay-as-you-go, the cheaper of the two is used.

Test SimpleVerifier against ZeroBounce on a real address

Type any address. It gets the same check the paid plans run: syntax, the domain’s mail servers and, where the provider allows it, a live mailbox check. Nothing is sent to the address.

Five checks a minute, no account needed. Nothing is sent to the address — we ask its mail server whether the mailbox exists, then disconnect.

ZeroBounce is one of the better-known names in email validation, and it does considerably more than validate. Before comparing anything, that is worth stating plainly.

What ZeroBounce actually costs

Read from their pricing page on 12 October 2026:

  • ZeroBounce ONE — $99/month billed monthly, with a minimum of 10,000 credits
  • Roughly 20% less if you pay annually
  • Credits never expire, which is a genuine advantage over monthly-reset models
  • A free tier and a pay-as-you-go option also exist

At the $99 entry point that works out around one cent per credit.

The ONE plan bundles a real set of deliverability tools: 250 warmup seeds, 100 inbox placement tests, 10,000 email finder and domain searches, 10 blacklist monitors, 1 DMARC monitor domain and 100 email server tests.

The detail people miss

Credits are spent by more than validation. ZeroBounce's own page says credits are used for Email Validation, Scoring, Email Finder and Domain Search. So finding an address and checking an address draw from the same pool.

That means a month where you do a lot of prospecting is also a month where you can validate less — the two activities compete for the same budget, even though you would ideally do both freely.

There is a 10,000 credit minimum. If you verify 2,000 addresses a month, you are still buying 10,000. Credits rolling over softens that, but you are pre-paying for capacity you may not use for months.

If you need inbox placement testing and continuous blacklist monitoring, ZeroBounce sells those and we do not. That is a real difference, not a footnote.

If you need addresses verified and found, you are paying $99 for a bundle where two features do the work.

Why we can drop the meter

Verifying a mailbox means opening an SMTP connection to the recipient's server and asking whether the address exists. Nobody invoices us for that. Finding an address means generating the handful of naming conventions a company might use and checking which exists — the same connection, the same zero cost.

Our marginal cost per verification is effectively zero, so a credit system would exist purely to charge more for the same work.

ZeroBounce's costs are genuinely different: warmup seed networks, inbox placement infrastructure and continuous monitoring all carry real running costs. Their model fits their product. Ours fits a narrower one.

Who should switch

Switch if you mainly validate lists and find addresses, the 10,000 credit minimum is more than you need, or you would verify more often if it were not metered.

Stay if you rely on inbox placement testing, blacklist or DMARC monitoring, or warmup seeds — those are not things we offer.

Test both before deciding

ZeroBounce guarantees 99.6% accuracy. We make no such number, because we would rather you check.

Take a fabricated address at a provider that rejects unknown mailboxes — [email protected] — and run it through both. Gmail rejects unknown recipients, so the only correct answer is invalid.

We wrote up that test here, including the version our own engine used to fail before we fixed it. Run it on us too.

Who should pick which

Pick ZeroBounce if

you want inbox placement tests, blacklist monitoring and warmup in the same account as verification.

Pick SimpleVerifier if

you mainly verify lists, often or in large batches, and would rather pay one flat monthly price than buy credits.

Where ZeroBounce is better

  • ZeroBounce ONE ($99 a month) bundles 10,000 validations with 10,000 email finds, 100 inbox placement tests, blacklist monitoring and 250 warmup seeds.
  • Credits never expire while a ZeroBounce ONE subscription is active, and unknown results are not charged.
  • It publishes an SDK with pre-built code for popular programming languages, beside its API.
  • A recurring 100 free validations a month suits very small, occasional checks.

Where SimpleVerifier is better

  • Pro is $39 a month and never cut off (100,000 a month at full speed), against $99 a month for 10,000 on ZeroBounce ONE.
  • Confirmed results are cached for 14 days, so re-checking an overlapping list is not billed again.
  • Phone number format, country and line-type checks are included in the same plan.
  • The email finder and website enrichment are unmetered on our plan.

Common questions

How much does ZeroBounce cost?
ZeroBounce ONE is $99 per month billed monthly with a minimum purchase of 10,000 validation credits, or about 20% less paid annually. Credits are also spent on scoring, email finder and domain search. There is a free tier and a pay-as-you-go option. The $99 entry plan, the $39 minimum pay-as-you-go pack for 2,000 validations and the 100 free monthly validations were re-read from zerobounce.net on 22 October 2026.
Do ZeroBounce credits expire?
ZeroBounce states that credits never expire on the ONE plan, which is genuinely better than providers whose credits reset monthly. The constraint is the minimum purchase rather than the expiry.
What is a cheaper alternative to ZeroBounce?
SimpleVerifier starts at $9 a month for 2,500 verifications, and Pro is $39 a month with no credit minimum: verification is never cut off (the first 100,000 checks a month at full speed, then slower), and the email finder and enrichment run under fair use. The first 100 checks are free. ZeroBounce includes deliverability extras such as inbox placement tests, blacklist monitoring and DMARC monitoring that a dedicated verifier does not.
Is ZeroBounce accurate?
ZeroBounce advertises a 99.6% validation accuracy guarantee. Rather than compare marketing figures, test any verifier yourself: submit a fabricated address at a provider that rejects unknown mailboxes, such as gmail.com, and confirm the tool returns invalid rather than valid.

Try it against your own list

The first 100 checks are free with a Google sign-in, no card. After that, plans start at $9 a month, and Pro is $39 a month: verification never cut off (the first 100,000 a month at full speed) and 10,000 API calls a month included. Cancel anytime.
