Toll-free and premium numbers in Ghana
Toll-free numbers in Ghana start with 0800 when dialled inside Ghana (800 after +233 from abroad) and have 8 or 9 digits after the country code. Google's numbering-plan data lists no premium-rate range for Ghana. Example: 0800 12345, or +23380012345 in E.164.

Every valid Ghana number of each type starts with one of these digit groups. The example column shows Google’s example number for the range, written internationally.
| Type | Starts with, after +233 | Dialled inside Ghana | Digits | Example |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Toll-free | 800 | 0800 | 8 or 9 | +233 800 12345Not diallable from abroad |
What each type means for the caller
- Toll-free: 0800
- Free to the caller, usually only from inside the country; the business that owns the number pays for the call. 8 or 9 digits after +233.
Writing and dialling a Ghana toll-free number
Inside Ghana, dial the number with its leading 0. From abroad or in E.164, drop the 0 and put +233 in front: 0800 12345 becomes +23380012345. Google's data marks the toll-free range as not diallable from abroad, so these numbers usually only work from inside Ghana.
Toll-free and premium numbers in a phone list
In a lead or customer list, a toll-free number usually reaches a company line rather than a person, and a premium-rate number costs you money to call. The free toll-free number checker flags them in a pasted list or CSV, and the Ghana phone number format page covers mobiles and landlines.

The numbering plan only knows what a range was issued for.
In the US and Canada mobiles and landlines share the same prefixes, and anywhere a number can be ported or reassigned the range stops telling the whole story. A live carrier lookup asks the network data instead, which is what Pro + Phone ($49.99/mo) adds.
