Toll-free and premium numbers in Liechtenstein
Toll-free numbers in Liechtenstein start with 8002, 8005 or 809 after the country code +423 and have 7 or 9 digits after the country code. Premium-rate numbers start with 9002, 9012, 9013 or 9066. Example: 800 22 22, or +4238002222 in E.164.

Every valid Liechtenstein number of each type starts with one of these digit groups. The example column shows Google’s example number for the range, written internationally.

What each type means for the caller
- Toll-free: 8002, 8005 or 809
- Free to the caller, usually only from inside the country; the business that owns the number pays for the call. 7 or 9 digits after +423.
- Premium rate: 9002, 9012, 9013 or 9066
- Charged above a normal call at a rate set by the service, with part of the charge going to the service provider. 7 digits after +423.
- Universal access (UAN): 8702 or 8708
- One national number for a business with several sites, routed to the nearest or chosen office. 7 digits after +423.
Writing and dialling a Liechtenstein toll-free number
Liechtenstein has no trunk prefix, so the number is the same at home and abroad; in E.164 put +423 in front: 800 22 22 becomes +4238002222. Many freephone numbers still only accept calls from inside Liechtenstein, and a call from abroad that does connect is usually charged.
Toll-free and premium numbers in a phone list
In a lead or customer list, a toll-free number usually reaches a company line rather than a person, and a premium-rate number costs you money to call. The free toll-free number checker flags them in a pasted list or CSV, and the Liechtenstein phone number format page covers mobiles and landlines.

A prefix says what a range is for. A live lookup says what the line is now.
Pro + Phone is $49.99 a month (or $499.90 a year): upload a CSV and every number gets a live line-type and carrier lookup, with the emails in the same file checked too.

Common questions
- What is the toll-free prefix in Liechtenstein?
- Liechtenstein toll-free numbers start with 8002, 8005 or 809 after +423. Every valid toll-free number starts that way, though not every number with those digits is in service.
- How many digits is a Liechtenstein toll-free number?
- 7 or 9 digits after the country code +423.
- Can I call a Liechtenstein toll-free number from abroad?
- Sometimes. Dial +423 and the number. Many freephone numbers only take calls from inside Liechtenstein, and where they do connect from abroad the call is usually charged.
- How do I spot a premium-rate number in Liechtenstein?
- By its first digits: 9002, 9012, 9013 or 9066. The prefix tells you the range is charged; the actual price is set per service.

The numbering plan only knows what a range was issued for.
In the US and Canada mobiles and landlines share the same prefixes, and anywhere a number can be ported or reassigned the range stops telling the whole story. A live carrier lookup asks the network data instead, which is what Pro + Phone ($49.99/mo) adds.

- Carrier name for every number looked up
