How to check if a yahoo.com.br email address exists

Can you verify @yahoo.com.br addresses?

Partly

Partly. @yahoo.com.br accepts any recipient, so a single mailbox can't be confirmed.

Check one address

Five checks a minute, no account needed. Nothing is sent to the address — we ask its mail server whether the mailbox exists, then disconnect.

Checking a whole list? The first 100 addresses are free, with results to download. No card.

By continuing you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy.

The checker probes @yahoo.com.br, but it first offers a random address that can't exist. yahoo.com.br's server accepts it, so the checker returns the real address as risky with "Accepts all addresses" rather than calling it valid. It always checks the syntax, the domain's MX records, disposable domains and role addresses such as info@ first.

Reasons you'll see in results:Accepts all addresses

yahoo.com.br addresses can't be confirmed with a mailbox check. Mail for the domain goes to the same yahoodns.net servers as yahoo.com, which accept a random address that can't exist during a mailbox check. Expect yahoo.com.br results to come back risky, and lean on engagement history instead.

Price: this tool is free. Checking a whole email list is from $9/mo, and the first 100 checks are free with Google, no card. See pricing

Why yahoo.com.br comes back risky

Our checker offers every domain a random address that can't exist before it asks about yours. Yahoo's servers accept that address at RCPT TO, so a yes for a real yahoo.com.br address carries no information, and the checker returns it as risky with "Accepts all addresses". yahoo.com.br shares those servers with yahoo.com, so it behaves the same way.

Yahoo documents its missing-user error as a 554 reply, which SMTP associates with the message stage rather than the recipient step, so a check that never sends can't see it. The honest answer at Yahoo is risky, not valid.

Old Yahoo Brasil addresses may be recycled

Yahoo's inactive mailbox policy marks a mailbox inactive after 12 months without access and deletes its contents. The Brazilian terms allow a closed account's username to be recycled for someone else, so an old yahoo.com.br address could now reach a different person. Re-confirm consent on stale contacts rather than relying on an old opt-in.

Yahoo's sender rules cap the spam rate at 0.3% and require one-click unsubscribe for bulk mail. Sending to recycled or abandoned addresses works against both.

Cleaning yahoo.com.br addresses on a list

Don't delete yahoo.com.br addresses because they came back risky; most will be real. Remove what can be proven bad without the mailbox check: syntax errors, typo domains, duplicates and disposable addresses, which the list health check finds in the browser.

Then send to the yahoo.com.br segment in a small first batch and suppress whatever hard-bounces. Addresses that opened or replied recently are live whatever the check says. Should you send to catch-all emails? walks through the same approach.

Common questions

Can you verify @yahoo.com.br addresses?
Partly. @yahoo.com.br accepts any recipient, so a single mailbox can't be confirmed. The checker probes @yahoo.com.br, but it first offers a random address that can't exist. yahoo.com.br's server accepts it, so the checker returns the real address as risky with "Accepts all addresses" rather than calling it valid. Can I check if a yahoo.com.br address exists without emailing it?
Not reliably. Yahoo's servers accept a made-up address during a mailbox check, so real and fake yahoo.com.br addresses get the same answer, and verifiers return them as risky (accept-all).
Can a deleted yahoo.com.br username be given to someone else?
Yahoo's terms for Brazil say an account closed for inactivity may have its username recycled for other people, so an old address can reach a new owner.
How long does an unused Yahoo Mail Brasil mailbox last?
Yahoo's help pages say a mailbox not accessed for 12 months becomes inactive and its email, folders and contacts are deleted.
