CRM bounce update file: mark invalid emails in HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive or HighLevel
In short: Reads a verification results CSV from SimpleVerifier or another verifier and writes the update import for HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive or HighLevel: an email verification status property, Salesforce's bounced fields on invalid rows, or a HighLevel tag, matched on email. Limit: It writes an import file; it doesn't connect to the CRM. Matching is by email, so contacts whose email changed since the export won't match.
Upload the results file from your email verifier and pick the CRM. Invalid addresses (and, by choice, risky and valid ones) become an update import matched on email: an Email verification status property for HubSpot and Pipedrive, Salesforce's Email Bounced Reason and Date, or an email-invalid tag in HighLevel. The steps say what to create first.
Price: this tool is free. Checking a whole email list is from $9/mo, and the first 100 checks are free with Google, no card. See pricing

Don't have verification results yet?
- Export the contacts from your CRM.
- Upload the file at /verify for a live mailbox check on every address and download the results. The first 100 email checks are free with a Google sign-in, no card.
- Bring the results file back here to build the CRM update.
How do I update my CRM with email verification results?
- Download the results CSV from your verifier: email plus a result or status column (valid, invalid, catch-all, unknown...).
- Upload or paste it here and pick the CRM. Tick whether risky and valid rows should be marked too.
- Create the property, field or tag the steps name, if you haven't already.
- Download the import file and import it into the CRM as an update of existing records, matched on email.
Example
- You enter
- A 7-row results CSV (email, result, reason): 2 valid, 2 invalid (mailbox_not_found, domain_has_no_mx), 1 catch-all, 1 unknown and 1 disposable, for HubSpot with only invalid rows marked.
- You get
- 3 invalid, 2 risky, 2 valid read. HubSpot file of 3 rows with Email, Email verification status (Invalid), Email verification reason and Email verified on, plus the steps: create the three properties, then import with update existing contacts, matched on Email.
- Limits
- Runs in your browser with no row cap; an uploaded file can be up to 25 MB.
Which field does each CRM get?
HubSpot has no standard property for a verification result, so the file writes Email verification status, reason and date to properties you create first, matched on Email when you import with update existing contacts (HubSpot). Filter on Invalid afterwards and set those contacts as non-marketing so they stop counting toward your marketing contacts.
Salesforce Leads and Contacts have standard Email Bounced Reason and Email Bounced Date fields, used by its bounce management; the file fills them on invalid rows only, plus an Email Verification Status picklist you create. Pipedrive gets person custom fields. HighLevel gets an email-invalid, email-risky or email-valid tag in a Tags column, which its CSV import applies to matched contacts, and a workflow on the tag can switch on email DND.
Should risky addresses be marked?
Catch-all and unknown results aren't a no, so they are left out by default. Marking them Risky lets you filter them into a smaller, careful send instead of a full campaign. The verification statuses guide explains each result.
What the import writes per CRM
| CRM | Columns | Create first |
|---|---|---|
| HubSpot | Email, Email verification status, reason, verified on | Three contact properties |
| Salesforce | Email, Email Verification Status, Email Bounced Reason, Email Bounced Date | One picklist field |
| Pipedrive | Email, Email verification status, reason, verified on | Three person fields |
| HighLevel | Email, Tags, Email verification status | Nothing (optional text field) |
Who uses this tool, and for what?
- RevOps
- Write a quarterly verification run back into Salesforce so reps see which contacts bounced before they email.
- HubSpot admins
- Flag invalid contacts, then move them to non-marketing to cut the contact tier.
- Agencies on HighLevel
- Tag invalid emails across a client's sub-account and let a workflow set DND.
What can’t this tool tell you?
- It writes an import file; it doesn't connect to the CRM. Matching is by email, so contacts whose email changed since the export won't match.
- Field names must exist in the CRM before the import; the steps list what to create.
- Some Salesforce orgs restrict mapping the Email Bounced fields in the import wizard; map them to custom fields there.
Common questions
- Does it work with results from other verifiers?
- Yes. Result words from common verifiers (valid, invalid, catch-all, accept_all, unknown, do_not_mail, disposable, spamtrap) are read. Results it doesn't recognise are left out and listed.
- Will the import overwrite other fields?
- No. An update import only changes the columns in the file; everything else on the record stays as it is.
- Why not delete invalid contacts?
- Their history, deals and notes may still matter. Marking them keeps the record and stops the mail; delete later if you want to.
- Is my file uploaded?
- No. It is read in your browser and nothing is sent.

A tidy list can still be full of dead addresses.
Extracting, deduplicating and syntax checks all work on the text of an address. None of them can tell whether the mailbox exists. Only the server that hosts it can answer that, through an SMTP check, and that is what the paid product does.
- Upload the cleaned file as it is: CSVs up to 100,000 rows
- A real SMTP mailbox check on every row, with catch-all detection
