Free phone number tools: format and tidy numbers in seconds
No code. Paste numbers or a CSV and get them in the right format, with country and number type, in your browser.
Phone number tools check and tidy numbers against each country's numbering plan: they format numbers to E.164 (+14155550123), validate length and prefix, find the country and time zone, extract numbers from text and count SMS segments. They use Google's open-source libphonenumber data in your browser. None of them can say a line is in service.
A number that passes these checks is one that can exist: right length, allocated prefix, plausible line type for that range. It is not proof that anyone answers it. Disconnected and ported numbers keep valid-looking digits, which is why carriers' own lookups exist.
For how each country writes its numbers, with calling codes, trunk prefixes and examples, see phone number formats by country.
